GLOW TIME FAQ (Frequently asked questions)

Domestic Shipping (Within Mauritius)

We process and ship out all orders Monday through Friday, not including Public holidays. Orders with standard shipping or express shipping will usually be fulfilled and shipped the next business day (Monday through Friday, not including Public holidays).

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. Please note that standard delivery takes up to 4-5 business days.

Orders dispatched using standard shipping usually take 4-5 business days from the day it ships to arrive to its final destination while express shipping usually takes 1-2 business days.

International Shipping

Currently, we only ship orders within Mauritius (Excluding Rodrigues and other overseas territories).

Orders, Payments & Promotions

We currently accept Cash only on click and collect & Bank Transfers when orders are delivered by post.

Only one (1) discount code will apply at checkout per order. Offers cannot be combined.

Korean products are traditionally labelled with a manufacturing date instead of an expiry date and have a shelf-life of two to three years from this date, depending on each individual product and brand. Do not be alarmed if you receive a product stamped with a date prior to your actual purchase date. We value our customers too much and will never sell an expired product.

Some brands have begun printing the expiration date instead of manufacturing date. Please check the characters in front of the dates to be sure:

제조 means “Manufactured date”
까지 means “Good until”

Yes absolutely, we are committed to bringing you only authentic, genuine and recently produced products. Our products are sourced directly from our partner brands in South Korea and/or from their official and verified distributors.

We do our best to get back to everyone within 1-2 business days (Monday to Friday, not including Public holidays). Sometimes our replies can end up in junk mail, so please be sure to check there and add us as a contact!

Cancellations & Returns

At Glow Time, we ensure that your order is processed as fast as possible and as soon as we receive payment confirmation on our end, the order is swiftly processed for shipment. As a result, there is a very short window of time where we can stop your order before it is ready for shipping.

Once your order is placed and payment confirmation is received, it can no longer be changed. This means that as soon as you realise that changes/cancellation are needed to your order please email us immediately at hello@glowtime.mu with the subject line “Cancellation” together with your full name and order number. We will let you know the status of your order and if the order has not yet been collected for shipping, there is still time to cancel the order all together and start a fresh order.

Once a confirmation of payment is received, a cancellation may incur an admin fee.

We’re sorry to hear that you are not happy with your new products!

Our policy is that we are happy to accept returns of new unopened products within 7 days of receipt. You can drop the products at our offices. If you are having any difficulty with your returns please email us on hello@glowtime.mu with the subject line “Returns” and
your full name and order number.

Unfortunately, we are unable to refund your original shipping & packaging charges. You may also incur an additional admin fee.

We do not offer direct exchanges on any of our products (We do not exchange a product for the exact same product!)

From time to time brands update product descriptions on the packaging, as well as the formulas with updated ingredients. We do our best in reflecting these changes on our online store as soon as we can. However, if you see a discrepancy on what you see on our site and the product you received, please refer to the product packaging for the most up-to-date ingredients.

Skin Care

The 10-steps Korean Skin Care Routine is a philosophy adopted by the Koreans from a very young age to achieve skin perfection. The transformation that this routine brings will leave you with the most amazing skin glow of your life. To learn more about this skin regimen, please refer to our blog.

In Korea, it’s more than a lifestyle, it’s a philosophy! It’s this regimen that is hailed as the reason so many Korean women boast flawless “glass skin”. The 10-steps routine sounds intimidating. However, the 10-steps is optional and do not need to be followed on a day to day basis. Once you know the steps and understand how your skin behaves, you can adapt this regimen to fit your needs and your lifestyle. Start with the most essential products that your skin requires and gradually add more steps to your routine. Most days you could use a 5-steps routine but some days you could even indulge in a 12-step routine! Not only does it work, but it is also very indulgent and therapeutic.

To follow the 10-steps routine, the use of exclusively Korean products is optional. You can experiment, mix and match using the layering technique and find out what works for your unique skin type.

It is not a one size fits all approach as every person’s skin is unique. Start by following the routine according to your skin type and skin concerns then by trial and error, tweak it to best suit your skin and your lifestyle. However, it is important to understand that your skin is a living organism and is always changing and so will be its needs. Once you understand the base of the K-Beauty routine, you will feel confident to tackle any changes and adjust your routine accordingly

The Double Cleanse is the starting point of your K-Beauty journey to achieve amazing glowing skin. In the first part of the Double Cleanse, you use an oil cleanser to remove all makeup, SPF, sebum and any other oil-based impurities from your skin. This is followed by a water-based cleanser which will help remove dirt, grime and any pollutants your skin has been exposed to during the day. The K- Beauty Double cleanse products will thoroughly clean your skin without dehydrating it. You can use this routine every day, in the morning and at night.

Occasionally, when you start using a new product, your skin may seem to be breaking out more (have more acne), however, this do not necessarily mean that you are having an allergic reaction. It could be that your skin is only going through a period of purging. What this means is that if you are using products that increases the rate of renewal of the skin, the skin renewal cycle accelerates and brings out faster the acne found deep under your skin that were
eventually coming out anyway. This process may take up to 6-8 weeks before eventually settling and resulting in healthy looking skin. In the remote event that after 6-8 weeks it still does not get better then stop using the product as there may be a slight chance of irritation.

However, if you are using a moisturiser or cleanser which usually do not contain any active ingredients that speed up skin renewal, red and sensitive skin may indicate an irritation and hence you should stop using the product straightaway and choose another with a different set of active ingredients.

The general recommendation by top dermatologists, aestheticians and other skin care specialists is to apply the different products in order of their viscosity, this means starting from lightest to the thickest treatments to allow maximum absorption of the key ingredients. As an example, you may start with a toner, next use an essence, then a serum and finally a moisturiser.

No. The products that we stock do not contain any bleaching or whitening ingredients. Our products which includes the word “whitening” usually means that it will help to even out your skin tone and make your overall complexion brighter.

In general, non-prescription skin care products are safe to use during pregnancy and while nursing. However, we would recommend as a precaution that you ask your treating doctor for some advice. We want you to feel completely satisfied that the products you are using will not affect your bundle of joy.

A resounding yes! Do not be influenced by the colour and design of certain packaging. What is important are the key ingredients within the product which works on the skin. These ingredients will work on your skin be it you are a man or woman, old or young and from any ethnic background! K-beauty products are not only meant specifically for Koreans or Asian looking skin, they have been developed for everyone who wants to take care of their skin.

Be careful of any beauty products that label themselves as 100% organic. Even though this may exist, it is extremely rare as any product that is 100% truly organic will also be free of any preservatives which means that these products would turn bad very fast. Unfortunately, since there are no industry standards or regulations in place to control organic skincare, a lot of companies mislabel their organic products and embellish the truth.

Rest assured that Korean brands in general focus on using natural and gentle ingredients in their formulas.
